When network outages occur, the disruption of daily work flow can be tremendous for Central Michigan Community Hospital. Because online communications have become so critical to conducting business, Central Michigan Community Hospital deployed the Barracuda Link Balancer to administer multiple internet connections and provide automatic failover should one connection go out. We were able to leverage the critical features of the Barracuda Link Balancer to define QoS rules, prioritize network traffic and ensure that adequate bandwidth is always available to important applications during periods of congestion.
